Starting today, status symbols are free: you earn a status symbol every time you reach a new level!
Buy and sell on StockRay and earn a classic car, a speed boat, a helicopter, and many more luxury assets on your way to a Manhattan penthouse.
If you've already reached a high level in the past few days, we automatically give you all the status symbols you should have earned on your way up. And if you've already bought a status symbol, we've return the cash you paid for it. (And you still get to keep the item!)

You can now recommend a stock to your Facebook friends on StockRay! Just click on the "Recommend this Stock" button on a stock page, and send your recommendation to any of your Facebook friends.

StockRay launches today! You can check it out at www.stockray.com.
StockRay is a virtual stock market for the things you care about: politicians, products, celebrities, places, TV shows, and more.
On StockRay, you can:
- Buy what you believe in, and short what you think will go down
- Compete against your friends or random users
- Join your favorite stock's board of directors by being one of the top shareholders
- Spend your virtual cash on status symbols like luxury cars, real estate, buy a restaurant, own a boat...
- Request to add your own new stocks to the platform
All the currency on the platform is virtual. StockRay is entirely free.
The site is brought to you by Teymour and Matt, two college friends who graduated from Harvard a few years ago and have been doing finance/computer science/startup stuff ever since. StockRay is based in New York, NY.
As the world around us tumbles in and out of financial crisis, political upheaval, and all other manner of turmoil, the one enduring measure of how our civilization is doing remains the stock market. But stock markets as we know them can only accommodate large, mature companies with the resources required to go public. Meanwhile, only those who are wealthy, adventurous, or sophisticated enough to navigate them become investors.
