On StockRay, you can:

- Compete against your friends or random users
- Join your favorite stock's board of directors by being one of the top shareholders
- Spend your virtual cash on status symbols like luxury cars, real estate, buy a restaurant, own a boat...
- Request to add your own new stocks to the platform

All the currency on the platform is virtual. StockRay is entirely free.

The site is brought to you by Teymour and Matt, two college friends who graduated from Harvard a few years ago and have been doing finance/computer science/startup stuff ever since. StockRay is based in New York, NY.

As the world around us tumbles in and out of financial crisis, political upheaval, and all other manner of turmoil, the one enduring measure of how our civilization is doing remains the stock market. But stock markets as we know them can only accommodate large, mature companies with the resources required to go public. Meanwhile, only those who are wealthy, adventurous, or sophisticated enough to navigate them become investors.

That is why we’ve been working hard over the past year to design and build a stock market where everything in the world is represented, and everyone in the world can participate.
