The new StockRay launches today!

Tens of thousands of trades. Hundreds of stock requests. Tens of millions of accumulated StockRay dollars. Countless conversations over email, phone, in person, and even via Facebook messages and texts. We're grateful for each and every one of these, and to address everything we've seen, heard, and experienced, we've spent the last few months making major changes to every aspect of the platform: 

- Stock prices: 

We've completely redesigned the way prices are determined. The basic idea is still the same: prices go up when people buy and go down when people sell, but we developed new calculations from scratch for a much sturdier, more dynamic platform where nothing matters but your ability to pick stocks. 

- More cash: 

We're thrilled and amazed by the enormous fortunes some StockRay portfolios have built over the past few months -- going from the initial ten thousand StockRay dollars to sums over a million! While there's still no shortcut to boosting your performance, topping ranking charts, or achieving higher levels, we're giving everyone on the platform a chance to trade more, better, and faster by purchasing additional cash. Compete with tycoons and become one yourself by checking out the "Add Cash" functionality on the top right corner! 

 - Requests for new stocks: 

Due to the overwhelming volume of requests for new stocks, we will now select the two most requested stocks on the platform every week for launch on the following Monday. Request new stocks and recruit others to push your request into the top 2! 

 - Stock list: 

We've carefully scrubbed our existing selection of stocks to bring you the optimal choice of people, places, and things you can invest in. May the best among them win! 

- New traders:

We'd like to express our heartfelt appreciation to all of you who participated in the StockRay beta over the past year, trading day after day, riding prices high and low, growing and transforming the platform.  From now on, we're opening the floodgates wide to large numbers of new traders.  

If you joined StockRay before today: you're special, and therefore you're given privileged status.  New users will now start with 2,000 StockRay dollars (as opposed to the 10,000 you were given), but you get to keep all the virtual cash you had!  

New traders: everything we've done, we've done for you, and we love you already.
